Rail Photo Diary
2005
Today I went to Valley to see if the nuclear flask train was running. It wasn't! I decided to stay to photograph some of the service trains.
158 847 appeared on the 10.17 Crewe to Holyhead service.
I managed to miss the 'Voyager' on the 09.00 from Euston
158 847 returned on the 12.36 Holyhead to Crewe.
As I walked towards my next chosen location 67027 Rising Star and 67020 passed towards Holyhead with the Serco Track Evaluation Train. The train consisting of vehicles 977869, DB999508, 72639, 72708 and 72616. I was taken by surprise and unsited of course (one of those days) so I didn't get a shot on the outward run. I did manage to photograph the train on it's way back from Holyhead after a very rapid turnround. So rapid that the train's re-appearance nearly took me by surprise again.
On the eastbound run 67020 leads the train past RAF Valley at 13.25.

and at a good pace heads towards Bangor passing RAF Valley

175 104 was on the 13.35 Holyhead to Manchester Piccadilly

158823 appeared on the 12.17 Crewe to Holyhead

and this 5-car 'Super Voyager' which I think may have been 221 115 formed the 14.17 to Euston

and finally 158823 re-appeared on the 14.30 to Llandudno Junction
