Iwas passing through Llanvair and called into the station on the off chance
that something would appear. I was surprised when 47853 'Express' appeared
with the 10.17 Crewe to Holyhead as it should have passed through an hour
previously. The weather was brightening so I decided to wait for it to come
back from Holyhead which it duly did, only forty minutes down after a quick
turnaround, and, if the exhaust was anything to go by,being worked hard
in an attempt to make up time. In the meantime the Virgin 221 on the 09.00
ex Euston passed through only a few minutes down. |
