18th June. Bodorgan and 'Duchess of Sutherland'

I decided to photograph the 'Duchess' from the bridge east of Bodorgan tunnel if nothing else there are good views over to Snowdonia.
175115 was first to appear with the 10.03 Manchester to Holyhead. Next came the 08.56 Euston to Holyhead with the usual 57 + 'Pendolino'. First eastbound train was the 12.36 Holyhead to Crewe unusually formed by two three car units 175117 and 114 rather than the usual one. The 'Duchess' then appeared and made a fine sight on the climb up to the tunnel. A pity the weather was so dull!! 175115 then returned on the 13.35 Holyhead to Manchester. In the other direction came 158850 on the 12.17 Crewe to Holyhead which looked well, particularly since the sun had now come out. The 57 plus 'Pendolin' combination now came back as the 14.14 Holyhead to Euston followed by 158850 on the 14.30 from Holyhead, which I think only goes as far as Llandudno Junction. In full sun came 158837 on the 11.33 from Birmingham. Finally the 'Duchess' came back and wouldn't you know it the sun had disappeared! D1643 was still at the back!
