2005

Saturday 16th April 2005

I had to go to Crewe to attend a meeting and had a little time to take a few shots at Crewe.

This 'Thunderbird' class 57 spent the afternoon, at least until 16.30, stabled in this bay at the north end.

This freight passed through on the up avoiding line.

About 12.20 this 'Pendolino' left for the north.

The stone train from Penmaenmawr arrived at about 12.20 and spent some time waiting for the road.

A two car 175 unit on a service from Holyhead

The morning Euston to Holyhead 'Wayfarer' tkes the Chester line at north junction.

A 170 unit arrives from Liverpool.

Another 170 leaves for the north.

followed shortly afterwards by a 'Pendolino' unit. A 175/1 awaits departure for Holyhead.

I travelled as far as Chester on 150279 in red/green livery presumably recently transferred from south Wales. I had intended leaving this Llandudno service at Llandudno Junction butdecided to leave this noisy/smelly unit here and catch the following 175 from Runcorn East to Holyhead.
