I spent a couple of ours by the lineside just east of bodorgan tunnel. Looking westwards there is a view of the cutting and the tunnel, looking to the east is a panoramic view of the mountains of Snowdonia, including Snowdon (yr Wyddfa) itself on the right. Unusually the tops were clear.
15004 was on the 13.35 Holyhead to Manchester Piccadilly
158830 was on the 12.17 Crewe to Holyhead and the 14.30 Holyhead to Llandudno Junction.
A class 221 Super Voyager was on the 14.17 Holyhead to London Euston
and 158841 arrived on the 11.33 Birmingham New Street to Holyhead.
