2005

12th January 2005

My first shots of 2005 were taken at Holyhead. I took the bus from Amlwch to Holyhead and en route noticed the 11.44 service to Crewe passing Valley formed by a two car class 158 unit. We seem to be getting more of these on the Island these days.

Arriving at the station the 12.36 service to Crewe was formed of two car 175007

Over on the outside platform the 10.03 from Manchester Piccadilly made a punctual appearance heded by 47805

Meanwhile stand-by loco 47839 was stabled opposite the platform

47805 began to run around it's train and began it's run up towards the signal box.

It then backed down towards it's train,

and was coupled on prior to departure as the 13.35 service back to Manchester Piccadilly.

The train left promptly at 13.35 and in this and the following shot 47305 makes a spirited climb of the bank out of the station.

Which left me just enough time to catch my bus back to Amlwch.
